Chiller

A Chiller is a mechanical device used to facilitate heat from liquid via a vapour compression or absorption refrigeration cycle. This liquid can then be circulated through a heat exchanger to cool equipments, or another process stream (such as Air & Water).

As necessary by-product, refrigeration creates waste heat that must be exhausted to ambience, or for greater efficiency, recovered for heating purposes.

Cooling Tower

A Cooling Tower is a heat rejection device that rejects waste heat to the atmosphere through the cooling of a water stream to a lower temperature Cooling tower may either use the evaporation of water to remove process heat and cool the working fluid to near the wet-bulb air temperature or, in the case of closed circuit dry cooling tower, rely solely on air to cool the working fluid to near the dry-bulb air temperature.

Air Handling Unit (AHU)

An Air handling unit is a device used to regulate and circulate air as part of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The AHU takes in outside air, reconditions (filtered and either heated or cooled) it and supplies it as fresh air to the air conditioned room.

• Humidification: - The process in which the moisture or water vapour or humidity is added to air without changing its dry bulb (DB) temperature is called as Humidification.
• Dehumidification: - The process in which the moisture or water vapour are removed from air. The dehumidification equipment will take the ambient air and will treat it before it is exhausted into the enclosure.

Air Washer

An Air washer is a piece of equipment that is designed to improve air quality by scrubbing the air that moves through it and adjusting humidity levels to keep the environment consistent. Air washer is used as part of climate control and air quality systems.

Engine Exhaust System

A closed exhaust system requires direct connection to the engine and removes only engine exhaust. The advantage of a closed exhaust system is the test cell is quieter than with an open exhaust system. A separate fan-powered exhaust system is required to pull in make and discharge the heat and fumes.

Ducts are conduits or passages used I heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) to deliver and remove air. The needed airflow includes (supply air, return air & exhaust air). Ducts commonly also deliver ventilation air as part of the supply air.

Piping

HVAC piping encompasses many different fluid, pressure & temperature. This piping can be located above or below ground and route through the interior or exterior of a building. Typical space heat transfer is completed using an air-water coil designed to return the water at a defined temperature.

Electrical control panels are designed and used to control mechanical equipment. Each one is designed for a specific equipment arrangement and includes devices that allow an operator to control specified equipment. Electrical panel components control every piece of equipment in every industry.

Aprogrammable logic controller, PLC, or Programmable controller is a digital computer used automation of typically industrial electromechanical processes, such as control of machinery on Chiller, Cooling Tower, Pipe Line, AHU, Air Flow Line & Liquid line etc.
